The Video Sender is our latest new product and is proving extremely successful and clients have been very pleased with their purchase.  

We now have several versions to choose from:  the standard is either a five channel or single channel version, but we have now launched High Power 5 Channel Transmitters, High Power 16 Channel Transmitters and 16 Channel Receivers.

And don't forget to look at our Micro Colour Camera!  Nor The Stamp!

The Video Sender is designed to transmit high quality pictures and sound from a camera to a monitor using a 2.4 GHz microwave link.

The Stamp has arrived!

Yes, we have extended our range of Video Sender units again!  

Our new Video Sender Transmitter is literally only the size of a First Class stamp, hence its name.  Other size comparisons could be a two-pence piece, or a right-angled BNC plug but they don't sound so catchy do they?.

The Stamp transmits high quality video, just like our bigger units, but is INCREDIBLY small and light - only 8 grams .  Amazingly enough, even the aerial is contained in the The Stamp's box.  It comes with a BNC plug to attach to the Video-out socket on your camera, and a HRS4M plug to power the unit, so there is no extra expense required for cables.  The cables are also ultra-lightweight and super-flexible.  OK, here's a better look at it:

Our next addition to the range will be a corresponding, much smaller Receiver - only half the size and weight of the standard 5 Channel version.  We are doing the R+D on it right now and already have a proto-type, so it won't be long.  In the meantime, you can go ahead and use The Stamp with the standard 5 Channel Video Sender Receiver.

The standard Transmitter is small and lightweight, and it will velcro easily to the camera's battery.

The small, efficient omni directional aerial radiates in all directions.  Up to 300 metres range outdoors (line of sight) or up to 30 metres indoors.  Choose either single or five channels.

The standard Receiver is a compact, lightweight design with an efficient internal aerial.  

It powers from any nominal 12v source - accepts 9 to 14 volts, or we can supply an optional mains pack.

We now have available a 16x9  7” wide screen, very high quality LCD monitor - that’ll make this an even more seriously superb bit of kit - see the details of the package below.  Again, choose either single or five channels.

The new High Power 5 Channel Transmitter has sixteen times the power, but is contained in the same size box.

The new High Power 16 Channel Transmitter is also in the same size box.  It is shown below connected to the 8dB Box Aerial (also detailed below).

It has an SMA aerial connector as standard.  If you plan to use more than three frequencies simultaneously, you will certainly need this 16 Channel version.

With the High Power 16 Channel Transmitter you need to use the new 16 Channel Receiver, necessary if you plan to use more than three frequencies simultaneously.  

Its in a slightly bigger box, but offers greater sensitivity and an SMA aerial connector as standard. It comes with a right-angled SMA aerial, or you can connect it to an 8dB gain box aerial or even a Yagi (both detailed below) with one of our SMA-SMA aerial leads.

WHY NOT BUY OUR READY MADE, ALL-INCLUSIVE PACKAGE?   NO FUSS -  EVERYTHING YOU NEED - YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO ANYTHING - JUST TAKE IT AWAY, SWITCH IT ON, AND START FILMING!  WHAT COULD BE SIMPLER?

We have on offer a truly splendid package which includes the superb Panasonic 16 x 9 7" Wide Screen LCD Colour Monitor, the Black Box Video Transmitter and Receiver, High Gain Box Aerial and Black Box Video's unique and exclusive Remote On-Off Switch, with the Panasonic Carry Bag, and all the relevant custom-made leads .  The Monitor and Receiver fit beautifully into Panasonic's specially made carry bag, and there is also room in the bag for an NP1 battery (we include an NP1  clip adapter) to power them both.  

Here's Jim showing you how it looks when its all put together;  the sturdy and padded carry bag hangs across your body and it incorporates a hood to shield the monitor screen from reflections and sun.  The lightweight box aerial simply velcros to the front of the bag.

To make things even easier, Jim has designed a single remote switch to activate or turn-off all the parts (both the Monitor and Receiver) located at the bottom left of the carry bag - to save you having to unzip the bag and fiddle about.  The remote switch even contains an indicator which constantly shows your battery power level.  This is exclusive to Black Box Video - you won't see one anywhere else.

The Panasonic Monitor is, in our opinion, definitely the best and easiest to use (and we've tested plenty).  The screen is amazingly clear and bright, even in the strongest sunlight, and gives a wide viewing angle.  These photos show this - these are genuine screen shots, not simulated pictures - the one on the left was taken outdoors in strong sunshine, the one on the right was taken indoors and close-up (just look at those fish scales!).  Another great advantage of the Panasonic is that it will remember all the previous settings when powered down, so when you switch on the power again everything is exactly as it was before.

The total weight of The Package is 2.025 kilos - not bad, eh?

We are very excited about our new Micro Colour Camera - in fact it is our "piss of resistance"!  It really is very tiny - only 50 x 35 x 25 mm  - and that includes the aerial, a microphone and built in micro-wave transmitter!!!  It weighs only 32 grms and can be attached to clothing or bag, or whatever, for covert filming.  You can expect a range of 100m.

There are more aerials to choose from.  If you want a tremendous improvement in the performance of your Video Sender for very little outlay, then choose one of our two new high gain directional aerials for the Video Sender Receiver.  At present the aerial is internal, but these high gain aerials are external and will need a cable between it and the Receiver. 

The first of these is a box aerial with 8dB gain, shown below fixed to the Panasonic bag.  You'll get phenomenal results very easily with this one.

And our second "super aerial" is a Yagi giving 14dB of gain, pictured below.  The Yagi is intended to be fixed on top of an OB van or a handy nearby roof to give you some really heavy welly.  Its about a metre long and quite weighty, so you will not want to carry it around otherwise.  The results are superb.
