TIME CODE RECEIVER

The Time Code Walkman Box is designed to feed time code and programme to a Walkman via a stereo 3.5mm minijack.  Both the programme and time code inputs have isolating transformers, and a variable level adjustment is provided for the time code input.  The output level can be at either mic or line level.

Programme input is via an XLR3F socket and is designed for line level 600 ohm balanced in.  The programme feed is applied to track 2 of the Walkman.   Time Code input is via the isolated BNC socket.  Output to Walkman track 1 is attenuated by a variable level adjustment from -6 dB to -18 dB when fed with time code from a standard TTL level source (ie Beta cam).  The level of time code fed to track 1 is adjustable via the flush control on the top of the unit +/- 6 dB to cope with different input levels.

PRICE:    £149

There are two versions of the Time Code Reader, both designed to be simple to use and very attractively priced.  They are of rugged construction, yet small in size with large clear, no-nonsense push buttons.  Versatile and affordable, and also compatible with our Black Box Video Time Code Receiver.

The UHF Miniature Time Code Transmitter is very small and light - little bigger than its own aerial - and mounts directly onto the camera's BNC time code out socket.  Its length including aerial is only 800 mm, and it weights 100 grms.  This TX is powered from the camera via a 4 pin Hirose plug, or you can use the PP3 clip adaptor supplied and power it directly from a PP3 battery (or our PP3 Battery Box).

Reliable UHF link - range approximately 100 metres.

The X-tra version has a higher power output (up to 300 metres range when used with the X-tra Receiver), lower battery consumption, built in power indicator, available on 433 MHz.

PRICES:

Miniature Time Code Transmitter (418 MHz)     £145

X-tra Miniature Time Code Transmitter (433 MHz)     £185

The UHF Self Powered Time Code Transmitter is powered by an PP3 battery and is designed to transmit time code from a source where 12 volt power is not readily available.  It is essentially the same as the Miniature Time Code Transmitter without needing the PP3 clip adaptor.  This version is ideal for transmitting time code from a recorder to one or several cameras.

This TX has a quick change PP3 battery compartment and built in battery power indicator.  A long battery life of around 15 hours.

The X-tra version has double the battery life, variable mod level, super bright LED, higher power (300 metres range) and is available on 433 MHz.

Self Powered Time Code Transmitter (418 MHz)     £135

X-tra Self Powered Time Code Transmitter (433 MHz)     £165

The UHF Miniature Time Code Receiver is specially designed to be used on cameras where light weight and small size are important.  It is powered from the 12 volt socket on the camera via a 4 pin Hirose connector.  The standard BNC output socket is for time code.

This RX is compatible with all Black Box Video TX's on the same frequency, and is affordable enough for use on multi-camera shoots.  It has power and carrier detect LED's.

The X-tra version is a more sensitive RX with super bright LED's, lower power consumption, and available on 433 MHz (up to 300 metres range when used with the X-tra TX units).

PRICES:

Miniature Time Code Receiver (418 MHz)     £155

X-tra Miniature Time Code Receiver (433 MHz)     £195

The standard UHF Time Code Receiver is small (30 x 120 x 60 mm) and has a long battery life of about 12 hours.  The quick change battery compartment takes a standard PP3.  It offers a reliable UHF link with a range of approximately 100 metres.  There are two LED indicators for time code being received and battery OK.  The locking toggle switch ensures the RX is switched on and off only when you want.
