THE TEAM AT BLACK BOX VIDEO

Obviously, our Team Leader is Jim, and you have already read a lot about him. When we first created this page we promised we would show you his picture as soon as he has had time to have a haircut! That was several months ago - so here now is a real treat! Here's Jim during our last holiday in beautiful New England in September, looking the relaxed cool dude that he is.
Second in line is Karen (me) - wife and business partner of Jim - I'm the Administrator, Company Secretary, Accounts Executive, Packaging and Despatch Department Manager, beer bottle opener and General Factotum. Likewise, we promised we would show you my picture as soon as as Jim has had a haircut and thus was able to see into the camera's view finder and take one! Well, specially for our holiday he did have his haircut and he played photographer while I played amongst the rocks and wonderful New England foliage.
As we have mentioned above, Black Box Video closed for two weeks during September 2001 while we took a much needed holiday. Whilst we enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Boston and New England, we were deeply shocked and saddened at the dreadful events that took place in the USA the 11th - the morning after we arrived in Boston (our plane must have been one of the last to be able to land at Logan Airport before it all started). We are grateful to everyone who took care of us at hotels and restaurants, etc, who made our holiday enjoyable despite the trauma. Indeed, we are immensely grateful to have got back home safely. Our thoughts are with all the people affected by the tragedy.
We are very sad to tell you that at the grand old age of 19 and a half years, Oliver died in November 2001. Call as a pair of old softies (and you'd be right!) but we still miss him tremendously and can't yet bear to delete his CV and photos from this website. So, we have given him a page of his own so that you can click here and remember him too.
