BLACK BOX

V  I  D  E  O

January 2002 was a month for Birthdays !

Not only did Black Box Video celebrate its 10th Birthday,

but Karen celebrated her (rather special) Birthday in sunny St Lucia

(having been whisked away to the Caribbean by her lovely, romantic hubby!)

Black Box Video designs and supplies specialist, electronic problem solving devices for the TV and Film Industry.  Our customers are mainly (freelance) Sound Recordists and Cameramen.

Video Sender Transmitters and Receivers, Time Code Readers and other Time Code units, 863MHz Foldback system, Power Supplies, Motorola 2-Way Radios, Pearl Microphones and almost any cable you can think of - we can make or provide it all.

At Black Box Video our philosophy, as always, is to bring you innovative audio products of high quality which are unavailable elsewhere.

Using only the finest components, we hand build every item individually.  And they are made to last.  We want you to come back again and buy some more!

We believe we offer a superb "customer service".  Phone us and you won't have to fight your way through endless, computerised menus.  Phone Black Box Video and you can speak directly to a human!  But more importantly, that human is the man who designs it, the man who builds it, and the man who fixes it!

That's Jim McAlister - and remember the old saying "Jim will fix it"!

Before setting up Black Box Video ten years ago, Jim had 30 years experience as a Sound Engineer for the BBC.  During his BBC career he pioneered stereo recording on video (yes, that's going back a bit!).  Consequently, his knowledge and experience is broad and deep.  So, you see, he does know what he's talking about if you phone him and understands the importance of practical, robust equipment that you can operate with gloved hands.

Creating this web site has been a whole new learning experience for me - Karen - and I am quite pleased with myself.  I still have a lot to learn and am always looking for tweaks and refinements to improve it, but here you can see photographs of all our products as well as give you dimensions and technical specifications.  Perhaps more importantly - we also give you the prices!

Starting now you can read and print the Instructions for Use for all Black Box Video units, so you can see exactly how easy everything is to use before you place your order.  Get to the Instructions you want either via the Technical page, or from the product page.

Why not save our URL into your Favorites so you can come back to us again quickly - alternatively, just enter the keyword "blackboxvideo" (without bothering with the w's or .com) and you will come to us immediately.

We have made a conscious decision  not to include a purchasing facility on this web site for the time being.  It is our experience that the majority of our clients prefer to discuss their requirements in some detail before placing their order, and we like to maintain a closer relationship with clients by talking with them.

As before, though, do phone or E-mail us for one of our full colour catalogues by snail mail.

Don't forget to come back to our site regularly to check our Special Offers page!

And please remember to check our Terms and Conditions
